President’s Quilt for Eloise: Indian Hatchet
 Materials: one 8½” light square, muslin or light tone-on-tone
two 4½” dark or medium squares
Block assembly:
Using diagonal seams methods, place 1 dark square on corner of light square, right sides facing and aligning corners.
Stitch along diagonal of dark square.
Trim 1/4” away from stitching.
Repeat on opposite corner of light square.
Block should measure 8½”. Be sure to sign block.
